Zimbabwe Human Rights Press Release The Robert Mugabe regime is currently pursuing a violent policy agenda that ignores the rule of law and encourages the perpetration of human rights abuses against all those opposed to the regime. The culture of impunity that has evolved in Zimbabwe has accentuated the scale and depth of human suffering by creating an environment of violence and fear that has paralysed civil society, driven the economy towards bankruptcy and eroded the food supply to such a degree that Zimbabwe is facing a severe humanitarian crisis.

The Zimbabwean human rights campaign in the UK calls on the International and African communities to:-
a) encourage it’s international partners to continue to increase the pressure on Mugabe to restore the rule of law and end the human rights abuses.
b) co-ordinate with it’s International partners to increase the amount of humanitarian aid being sent to Zimbabwe and delivered through non-partisan distribution structures.
We will continue to call for peace, a return to the rule of law, the withdrawal of police, CIO, soldiers and the militia from their unlawful activities.

Outside the Zimbabwe High Commission in London, protesters held hands in solidarity.

What is happening in Zimbabwe half the population are starving, state hijacking of food aid, state prevention of food production, unemployment is over 80%, inflation is out of control, state approved murder and torture, press muzzled, judiciary subverted and AIDS pandemic.

What WE want ousting of Mugabe, free elections with independent monitors, return to rule of law, freedom of the press, independent judiciary, fair land reform.

What can you do?
PUT PRESSURE ON GOVERNMENT & EU FOR STRONGER ACTION
SUPPORT ZIMBABWEAN FOOD APPEALS
